FreSh B.V. is the creative force behind Fred de la Bretoniere and Shabbies Amsterdam, two iconic names in footwear fashion. Since establishing our brands in 1970 and 2005 respectively, we have earned a stellar reputation for genuine craftsmanship, premium quality, and distinctive style. Together, they form an outstanding collection of footwear and bags designed to elevate everyday feel-good moments—with our passion for traditional shoemaking and attention to detail shining through in every piece.
While sharing a dedication to quality, each brand has its own unique identity. Fred de la Bretoniere offers timeless, casual elegance deeply rooted in traditional shoemaking heritage. Shabbies Amsterdam, on the other hand, is designed for the strong, independent woman, delivering a bolder, more rugged aesthetic. Crafted from premium leathers, these authentic pieces are built to last, growing even more beautiful and full of character over time.
From design to supply chain: how our teams are structured
Bringing distinctive collections to the fashion market requires a shared spirit of craftsmanship and entrepreneurship at Fred de la Bretoniere and Shabbies Amsterdam. Under the HVEG Group umbrella, our specialist teams collaborate closely to drive both brands forward.
The creative process begins with our Designers, who translate our unique brand identities into recognisable footwear and leather bags. Our Marketing team and Digital Brand Manager then bring these designs to life visually, crafting compelling content and campaigns across all digital channels. To connect these products with consumers, our Sales team builds strong partnerships with retail stockists worldwide.
Behind the scenes, Operations coordinates a reliable ordering and delivery workflow, while our Business Unit Coordinator acts as the central link across all disciplines. Together with the Managing Director, they ensure that creative ideas, commercial strategies, and practical execution align logically. By sharing knowledge daily, we work as one team to sustain these strong fashion brands.
