At WFashion in Maastricht, we’re looking for a Finance Officer to join our team for 32 hours per week. In this role, you’ll be involved in much more than financial administration. You’ll help monitor financial performance, support reporting and analysis, and contribute to improving financial processes across the business.

What will you do?

As a Finance Officer, you’ll help ensure our financial administration is accurate, well organised and up to date. While your main focus will be accounts receivable, you’ll also support a wide range of finance activities, giving you the opportunity to develop a broad understanding of financial operations.

For us, accounts receivable is about more than collecting outstanding invoices. It’s about creating insight, identifying trends and helping the business stay in control. You’ll analyse payment behaviour, monitor credit limits and prepare reports that support informed decision-making.

Working closely with your colleagues, you’ll contribute to a finance department that values accuracy, continuous improvement and collaboration.

In this role, you will:

• Manage invoicing and follow up on outstanding invoices.
• Maintain contact with customers regarding payments and payment arrangements.
• Analyse outstanding balances and payment behaviour.
• Prepare accounts receivable reports and financial analyses.
• Identify risks, trends and discrepancies within the accounts receivable process.
• Monitor credit limits and customer agreements.
• Process bank transactions and maintain financial records.
• Support the accounts payable administration.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
• Contribute ideas to improve financial processes and ways of working.
• Create and maintain customer records in our financial systems.

What do you bring?

• An MBO or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics or a related field.
• You’re at the start of your career or already have some relevant experience, including internships.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English. German is a plus.
• Experience with financial systems and Microsoft Excel is an advantage.
• You work accurately, enjoy analysing data and like improving processes.
• You’re eager to learn, take initiative and develop yourself within finance.
